Monte da Herdade da Chaminé

On the Monte da Herdade da Chaminé estate an outhouse was converted to accommodation and an area to the north and northeast was chosen to create a garden and build a pool and supporting structures.

The land was split into three levels: the upper level which contains the pool and a lawn (height 102.5m), the middle level which is home to an orange grove (height 100 to 102m), and the lower level where the parking area is located (height 98m).

At the lowest level where work was to be conducted (height 93m) there is a series of very special features: a spring, a fountain, a water tank, flower boxes and supporting walls. As a whole they are in a poor state of repair, and therefore they are to be restored (hydraulic system, waterproofing, plaster and painting) and the washing tank is to be converted into a reflecting pond.
